LithoKeeper ("the App") is developed by Evoli Technologies S.R.L.. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

LithoKeeper is a field notebook and specimen-logging app for scientists, researchers, and paleontologists. It helps you capture specimen records and field notes, attach photos and locations, and organise everything by project, dig site, and expedition. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled.

LithoKeeper is offline-first. Your records are stored on your device and are not sent to us or to any server.

The App stores the following information that you provide directly. All of it is kept locally on your device:

• 🪨 Specimen Records Specimen entries including title or ID, classification and taxonomy, stratigraphy, measurements, description, tags, and dates you enter for each find. Stored locally on your device.
• 📝 Field Notes Free-form notes including title, body text, tags, and dates you create within the App. Stored locally on your device.
• 🗂️ Projects, Sites & Expeditions The projects, dig sites, and expeditions you create to organise your records — including names, regions, and date ranges. Stored locally on your device.
• 📷 Photos Photos you choose to attach to specimens or notes. Stored on your device.
• 📍 Location Data GPS coordinates you choose to attach to a record, or coordinates you enter manually. Captured only when you tap to add a location, and stored on your device.

The App requests only the following device permissions, and only at the moment a feature needs them:

• 📷 Camera — CAMERA Used to capture photos of specimens and field notes within the App. Photos are saved to your device and are never uploaded. You can also attach existing images from your gallery instead.
• 📍 Location — ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION Used to attach your current GPS coordinates to a record when you choose to. Requested only when you tap "Use current location"; you can always enter coordinates manually or skip location entirely. Core features never require this permission.

LithoKeeper requests no other permissions. It does not require an internet connection to function and works fully offline.

All data you enter into LithoKeeper is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. The App is offline-first and does not transmit your data to our servers or to any third party.

LithoKeeper does not currently offer cloud sync. If backup or export features (for example CSV or PDF export) are added in the future, they will operate only under your explicit control, and this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe them before they are introduced.

Your data belongs to you. You may delete any record at any time within the App, or remove all data by uninstalling the App.

LithoKeeper does not integrate any advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking tools, and it does not use the device Advertising ID (AD_ID). No personal data is shared with or sold to third parties.

Optional LithoKeeper Pro subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. Purchases are handled entirely by Google; we do not receive or store your payment details. Google's handling of that information is subject to Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

This App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Because your data is stored on your device, it is retained until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. Deleting a record removes it from your device; uninstalling the App removes all locally stored records.

As we do not hold your data on any server, there is no separate account or cloud copy for us to delete. If this changes in the future with the introduction of backup features, this policy will describe how to request deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
