By installing and using LithoKeeper ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.

LithoKeeper is a field notebook and specimen-logging application for Android, providing tools to capture specimen records and field notes, attach photos and locations, and organise records by project, dig site, and expedition. It is developed and maintained by Evoli Technologies S.R.L. ("we", "us", "our").

The App is designed to support field and laboratory record-keeping for scientists, researchers, and paleontologists. It is an organisational and record-keeping tool only and does not provide scientific, geological, curatorial, or other professional determination or advice.

All data you enter into LithoKeeper — including specimen records, field notes, projects, sites, expeditions, photos, locations, and tags — is your own content. You retain full ownership of your data at all times.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. We do not verify, review, or validate any classification, identification, measurement, or other data you store in the App.

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose — personal and professional field record-keeping. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App or its source code
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
• Collect specimens or record locations in violation of any permits, land rights, or protected-site regulations
• Attempt to circumvent, bypass, or tamper with any subscription or licensing enforcement
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or any of its components
• Use the App to store or distribute unlawful, offensive, or harmful content

LithoKeeper is offline-first. All records you create are stored locally on your device, and the App does not currently transmit or back up your data to any server or cloud service.

• We do not hold a copy of your data and cannot restore it if it is lost
• Export and backup features may be offered in a future version; until then, treat your device as the only copy of your records
• We recommend regularly reviewing your records to ensure accuracy and completeness

LithoKeeper offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription, LithoKeeper Pro, which unlocks features such as unlimited records, multiple photos per entry, advanced fields, and additional options.

• Purchases and renewals are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play
• Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policies
• Features and pricing may change over time; any changes will apply to new billing periods and will not reduce access you have already paid for

The App requests only the device permissions it needs for core features — Camera (to capture photos of specimens and notes) and Location (to attach GPS coordinates when you choose to), as described in our Privacy Policy. Permissions are requested at the point of use. You may revoke them at any time in your device settings, which may limit or disable the related features but will not prevent you from using the rest of the App.

All content, design, code, branding, and features of the App — including the LithoKeeper name and the Evoli Technologies brand — are the intellectual property of Evoli Technologies S.R.L.. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission. The specimen and note records you create remain yours.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evoli Technologies S.R.L. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of records, loss of data, or decisions made based on information stored in the App.

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or via the Google Play listing. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version is always available on our website and within the App under Settings → About.
